EVs to Look Forward in 2021

The world is shifting to greener alternatives and the automobile industry is no different. Despite the cheaper gas rates, people now prefer an eco-friendlier option that is EV- Electric Vehicles. Owing to the growing popularity of these vehicles, it won’t be wrong to say that the future of the automotive industry is EVs.

On this note, we’re going to tell you about some amazing upcoming EVs that you need to look out for. You can easily book them in advance at any reputable showroom for Dubai cars.

Let’s take a look at the amazing line-up that is expected to release this year!

2021 Mustang Mach-E

Finally, the American Muscle is going green. With the Mach-E, Ford is turning the Mustang into an electric variant. The crossover is going to have four doors, which is the first time for a Mustang, along with having room for gear and groceries. Suffice it to say, stang is docile unless you opt for the performance edition that is bound to blow off your minds. The Mach-E is capable of hitting 100 km/hr faster than the Porsche 911 GTS.

Not only this, the E-Mach performs phenomenally on a long haul too. With its extended battery range, the rear wheel models will go at least 300 miles on a single charge. This is going to compete with Tesla’s Model Y crossover.

Like always, looks-wise the Mach-E is a treat for sore eyes. However, it looks like an SUV but has the familiar pony badge upfront. It comes well equipped with a 288 Lithium-ion cell battery capable of producing a power of 88 kWh.

Polestar 2

A car worth waiting for this year around is definitely going to be the Polestar 2. Arriving soon by the fall of this year, Polestar 2 is going to bring Volvo polish and Swedish style to compete with Tesla’s Model 3. This is the second car from Volvo’s new performance arm; the first being Polestar 1 was a hybrid gas-electric variant.

However, a green powertrain isn’t the only thing Polestar 2 is capable of; it features whole new forward-thinking design elements. Frameless mirrors, lighter than leather vegan interiors designed to provide the durability of a wetsuit. All this in a body fully powered by a 27 module lithium-ion battery pack that is capable of delivering an impressive 402 horsepower and a driving range of 275 miles.

Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo

Porsche is upgrading its first EV, the Taycan, with a brand-new model that is going to be the world’s first electric station wagon. So, if you’re looking to buy a Porsche in Dubai, consider booking this beauty in advance.

Taycan cross Turismo is going to have exceptional ground clearance, more cargo space, gravel mode and a protective cladding. The station wagon will be available in 4 variants, all four having AWD as standard.

Volvo XC40 Recharge

The Swedes are going all green. And recently, they have introduced a pure electric plug-in version of their iconic XC40 crossover. Just like the traditional fuel variant, the EV also features a smart yet stylish interior having ample storage space despite the vehicle’s size.

Volvo claims that the 78kWh battery will be able to provide over 200 miles range on a single charge and with its 408 horsepower, you’ll be able to feel plenty of oomph.

Will the coming Volvo XC40 be able to give Tesla Model Y a tough time or not? We will find out soon.

GMC Hummer EV SUT

One of the most unexpected EVs is going to be this upcoming one from Hummer. The whole automotive eternity was shocked to hear that Hummer, which is known for its militaristic gas-guzzling SUVs, is coming back with an EV.

Hummer, now operating under the nameplate of GMC, is making a comeback with a pair of powerful green beasts – one SUV & one pickup truck. These vehicles are expected to be equipped with three motors that will be able to produce a massive 1000 hp and provide a range of 400 miles on a single charge.

Quick charging along with off-roading capabilities, removable roof panels and enormous power is going to make a compelling package. So, all those Humvee lovers waiting to lay their hands on these green monsters don’t have to wait long because they are expected to arrive in the first half of 2022.

Well, these are some of the most amazing EVs that are going to hit the markets later this year or in the first half of 2022. However, if you don’t have the funds to afford a new EV at the moment, you can always buy a second-hand Tesla easily available in the market for used cars for sale in Dubai. Own it and play your part for a cleaner, greener future.
