How to Use a Nasal Aspirator (Aka a Baby Snot Sucker)

 


A tiny tube that can help your baby to stay active and accessible if the nose gets stuff. The nose receives things if there is pollution or if he is suffering from a cold and cough. This is the time when he gets irritated and starts panicking. However, to get rid of this situation, you must try to use a nasal aspirator. It comes with a rubber syringe that will protect and prevent the baby from any congestion. Many babies come in contact with the viruses that affect the respiratory organ of the body. In such a situation, you need to take the help of a nasal aspirator.

Procedure to use a nasal aspirator:

To do this, you need some items.

·        It would help if you had a nasal aspirator and a rubber syringe.

·        It would help if you also had a nasal saline solution. You can make it in your home or buy a reliable one from the doctor’s advice.

·        The room where you will do this process should have adequate light. This will help you to see things.

·        You need a comfortable place for the baby to lie.

·        You can also take a towel or a tissue to clean the mess that will be emitted.

·        If required, you can take another adult help that can keep the baby distracted.

In the first step, you have to follow the correct time when your baby remains relaxed. You can start the process during that time. Now pick your baby and put him in a comfortable bed.  Then provide two or three drops of nasal solution in the baby’s nose to soften the mucous. The drops should be given carefully so that the baby does not become irritated in any way.

Now, wait for about 20 seconds to get the mucous soften. If it does not happen, you can apply it again. If you see that the baby is feeling uncomfortable after giving the nasal spray, you can use the nasal aspirator. You have to squeeze the air out from the bulb so that it is fully compressed and, during this time, keep the bulb squeezed.

In the next step, slowly insert the tip of the bulb into the baby’s nostril and release the bulb. Through this process, we will release the mucous from the nose. You will find that it is coming out from the nose. Now squeeze the nose of the baby with the help of a towel or a wet wipe. The exact process needs to be followed in another nostril. You have to wait for about ten minutes to apply the same process in the next nostril. You can use this process twice or thrice a day. However, in such a case, you need proper instruction from the physician.

It is the best way through which your baby can get ultimate relief from nasal congestion. It can also protect your baby from any severe problems. A good baby nasal aspirator has saved many families and parents whose kids suffer from nasal infection or congestion.
