Former US President Donald Trump's danger is not going away. The Supreme Court has directed that his tax return be handed over to the investigating authority.
Trump quickly reacted to the Supreme Court's decision in a statement. He says this is just another attempt to find a political ghost running against him. Trump has said the Supreme Court should not be indulged in such work. At the same time, he announced that he would continue fighting as before. Says he will win.
On February 22, the U.S. Supreme Court ordered Trump's tax return to be handed over to New York's investigating authorities. During his tenure as president, the New York Attorney General requested an order to hand over the statement. At the time, Trump was claiming that he was not obliged to disclose his tax returns. Trump now lacks some of the legal benefits he received as president. However, the Supreme Court's directive issued on Monday did not address the legal issue of Trump's presidency.
The Supreme Court judges gave the order without any comment. Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance said work would continue after the Supreme Court's ruling. He did not comment further.
The investigation against Trump began in New York while he was in power as president. The investigation was started against him on charges of tax evasion, discrepancies in the accounts for tax evasion and various economic irregularities.
